Strategic Technology and IPS

We live in a dynamic, exciting world where our lives at work and home and elsewhere are being impacted and changed constantly and rapidly – sometimes we are very aware of this and other times we can be completely oblivious as the changes and impacts are not visible or evident on the surface and take some time to manifest in our consciousness.

Gartner™ has recently released research (21st October 2019) “Gartner Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2020” which is a significant statement on how we believe “Hyperautomation, blockchain, AI security, distributed cloud and autonomous things drive disruption and create opportunities in this year’s strategic technology trends”.

With reference to the conclusions of this Gartner report, we believe IPS is at the strategic technology development forefront in the Global Energy Supply Industry (GESI), to ensure that you, our Customers and Partners (current and future) are provided with the tools and know-how which is being constantly updated, improved and transformed to meet your current and future business needs in the most powerful and optimal speed-to-value manner.

Key areas demonstrating IPS leadership and capability in the GESI context of the Gartner “Top 10 strategic technology trends” for some of these trends are as follows:

Trend No 1. Hyperautomation

IPS uses advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) embedded for our Asset Performance Management (APM) and Field Services Support Mobility Solutions, to increasingly automate asset inspection and testing and asset health diagnostics and facilitate automated Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Actions and provide Predictive Maintenance capability, as well as Asset Name Plate recognition and Asset Condition assessment.

In addition, IPS-SmartGridDI provides the ability to interface with and export and import data with DI action triggers to automate data flows and business processes

See our  APM, Field Service Support Solutions and SGDI pages.

Trend No. 2: Multiexperience

IPS multiexperience focuses on Augmented Reality (AR) technology, with highly advanced human-machine interfaces and sensing technologies being used for Field Work, providing convenient, easy-to-use tools, for most effectively and efficiently undertaking inspection and testing tasks.

Trend No. 3: Democratization

IPS, through our specialized and advanced software and industry expertise and ongoing interaction and relationships with our Global Customers, provides easy access to technical or business expertise without extensive (and costly) training. This is enabled via our online familiarization training programs and tailored face to face training sessions, along with our focus on the development of software with a high degree of configurability by Users.
